Like all schools, Brampford Speke Primary School has a Governing Body which oversees the running of the school. The full group of governors meets with the Head Teacher and Clerk once each term, and there are separate committees dealing with curriculum, premises, finance and personnel. Many of the governors are parents with children at the school. Some are elected as parent-governors normally to serve for four years; others are appointed as community- or LEA-governors. A member of the teaching staff and a Church representative also serve on the governing body. Parents (and school staff) can raise with governors any issues they feel should be addressed. We are always pleased to hear from people with an interest in joining the governing body!
