Church

Our school is one of four schools within the Mission Community of Netherexe Parish which is a community of eleven churches within the Diocese of Exeter - the Church of England in Devon.

The school and the local community often come together in worship and celebration of the Christian calendar, worshipping together enriches the life of the school and the church community.  Religious visitors to the school include Simon Taylor from the Baptist Church in the village and the Initiative in Christian Education (ICE), the school often uses the Chapel and the Church for their assemblies and have even had a virtual assemblies linking with the Primary School at neighbouring village Thorverton,  through a video link.  Services throughout the year are held at St Peter's Church in the village when parents and friends of the school are encouraged to join in.  The school supports the village church ‘Service with a Smile' a monthly service held on the first Sunday of each month and in 2009 the school decorated a beautiful Christmas Tree with prayers and decorations for the village's first Christmas Tree Festival.

COMMUNITY

There continues to be strong links with the Crediton Learning Community (CLC). Working together children participated in 'The Big Sing Festival' at Exeter University.  They participate in many sporting activities organised by CLC; these include kwik cricket, Tag Rugby, football, netball and multi-skills.

We have developed strong links with our partner school Thorverton Primary School and have a joint agreement covering areas of current and future collaboration.

Friends of the school, parents and members of the Church and local community worked together to put on a wonderful display of local art at 'Brampford Art '.  An all day cafe provided home cooked food using local produce.  This year Friends have held a Quiz Night, Xmas disco, continental/pancake breakfasts, cake stalls, and Easter Egg hunt.  These events are open to the  local community.

Children have weekly assemblies and collective worship, which are lead by members of the Church and local community. The school has strong links with the church sharing many community activities and celebrations.
